We've owned this truck since 2014. It started life with us as our parts runner for our Jeep shop. The guys who worked there would tease us because we would never let them beat on it. We feel in love with this truck very quickly. After we sold the shop, we kept the truck and brought it home. Unfortunately it blew a head gasket and ended up parked. After a failed attempt at installing a Vortec 350 due to project creep and then a total burnout and lack of interest in finishing, it got pushed back to the parking area and mostly forgotten about. Finally Chase decided that we needed to finish it, but with a different plan. We have now raided the spare parts pile in our shop and have installed a stock 5.3L and swapped the automatic to a T56 6-spd. This is a very budget build and we plan to use this as our shop truck and parts runner. While it is still pretty filthy as our picture shows, we are nearing completion and then it will get a thorough cleaning. And yes, the wheels are horrible and will be replaced as soon as we can find a suitable replacement.
